        IRNA - Top Asian
goalscorer Vahid Shamsaei hit his hat-trick to hold the
three-time world futsal champion Brazil in the
12,000-seater hall of Azadi Sports Complex, west of
        Tehran, Friday.
Iran, which was one point from the title of a four-sided
tournament, fought back to hold the proud Brazilians to a
4-4 draw in the closing minutes.
Anderson collected a through ball in the 13th minute to
clear Iran`s in-form keeper Reza Nasseri with a neat
footwork to find the empty net from close range.
The goal-hungry Shamsaei grabbed a late stunning
equalizer on 20 minutes when he dribbled past two markers
and keeper in a narrow space to steer home the ball with
        his stretched right leg.
Brazil was given an early shock after the break as Kazem
Mohammadi eclipsed big names, rifling home in the 22nd
minute with a ferocious angled shot after spectacularly
        beating two markers.
The five-time Asian champion`s lead was too short-lived.
Gabriel outpaced Siamak Dadashi to sent a corner past the
        diving Nasseri one minute later.
Netto put Brazil ahead in the 23rd minute and the
conditions were exacerbated as Anderson celebrated his
own second and side`s fourth five minutes from time.
But Shamsaei threw the gauntlet for Brazilians with two
        last-gasp goals.
He showed Iran has a flair for futsal as he dribbled past
two of them in the 36th minute in a tricky solo effort to
unleash a sizzling left drive past Brazilian keeper.
A ray of hope was flickering following Shamsaei`s goal,
which minimized the gap. And Iran`s dream came true one
minute from time when the home team`s toast, Shamsaei,
converted a penalty to make it 4-4, sending over 6,000
        home fans wild with applause.
Iran`s dazzling performance prompted Brazil manager Freti
to throw on his ace Falcao as keeper-cum-playmaker in the
        closing seconds.
Despite his cameo appearance, Falcao provided one scoring
chance before the Kuwaiti referee blew his final whistle.

Shamsaei lifted two trophies, the main and one for his
        10-goal tally.
Later, Iran`s under-21 side beat the European runner-up
Ukraine 3-1 to take the third title.
